I thought this was one of the best SP I've ever seen. "Sharon we're rich! I bought BlockBuster!"
"Hey look! Its Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and.... Bruce Vilanch!"
The Honey Boo Boo comparison was pretty awesome too.
This episode makes up for the one before which I thought was one of the worst.
As soon as the family started driving towards to Blockbuster I said, are they redoing The Shining? Yup
There is cash in a Redbox? I thought they only do credit cards.
I thought that was the joke.
It was a long, long way from being one of the best ever, but still pretty good.
I agree. Do you know what I am saying?
The joke was that nobody uses Redbox either.
In fact, Blockbuster Express was bought out by Redbox, and I think the plan was to replace all Blockbuster Express machines with Redbox ones.
I see plenty of people use Redbox all the time.. I have used it about 10 times myself in the past year.
As for the future of Redbox, they are teaming with Verizon to be a Netflix competitor by years end and offer streaming services.
I thought this was nearly as funny as the Kentucky Fried Balls one.
No. They blew it with red box. They got it all wrong including that red box is doing well. Took me out of the story.
i wish..in one store i go to the thing is on the aisle between the registers and the exit and if a family is standing there deciding on a movie, no one can get by
I thought the best part was when they busted open the RedBox and a few quarters jingled out. The animation on this show is incredible.
The Redboxes at my local market always seem to be busy. Quite a few people still don't have the internet bandwidth to stream HD. With my marginal internet connection I'd rather get a Blu-ray disc... which is what I get from Netflix.
Because normally, "South Park" is completely accurate in its depictions of actual corporations and celebrities.
Certainly one of the better episodes in a while. Must be among the most clearly understandble lines in an ep Kenny has had too.
Satire is based in truth. They had no truth to base the redbox jokes on. Blockbuster was excellent satire because it is truth based.
Doesn't matter if it was accurate. The idea of a redbox killer is funny all on its own.
Uh, I think I said it wasn't funny to me. They lost me on that part. Rest of the show was gold.
Sadly, all they had to do was make it a blockbuster blue box. Those crashed and burned.
