Maybe it was a best of I saw.
Wouldn't surprise me if they checked with Barry first and he volunteered to do the cameo.
I agree. I thought it was in very poor taste even with Barry showing up at the end.
Also, I detest Fallon so the whole show was a lot of fast forwarding for me.
You missed some very funny stuff.
No. I didn't.
Clearly everyone else enjoyed it. That's great. I just don't like the guy and never will. Everyone has their own preferences.
Or maybe you did. Since you didn't watch, you can't be sure.
I didn't say I didn't watch. I watched enough of each sketch to know it wasn't funny TO ME. Comedy is very subjective. It's okay that not everyone likes the same thing.
Seems your mind was made up long before you watched it.
I found virtually everything to be very good this ep. I won't be surprised to see most of the sketches here show up in Christmas specials in the future. I even liked the Celebrity Family Feud (loved JT's imitation of Jimmy) and Christmas Carol. I think Jimmy is always so happy and cheerful to be making an ass out of himself that you can't help but laugh with him. Also glad to see he lived up to his rep of not being able to keep a straight face during sketches.
To me the only dud was the Kimye sketch; as before it was awful. I wish they would drop those characters and pretend it never happened. I think Nasim is fantastic and like just about everything she's in... except this. I guess maybe it might be funny if I had any idea about anything any Kardashian does (I didn't even know Kim and Kanye are a couple and I have no idea what is going on here). The only even remotely amusing part was the Kardashian singers.
I do also wish I had any idea what the Madonna grills thing was about. So bizarre.
The Madonna thing was supposed to be adding big-teeth so that she could become a BeeGee, didn't work of course but that was the plan.
I guess I didn't realize the BeeGees were known for big teeth... ok whatever. I'll just let it go
There was a classic joke from the UK in the 70s or 80s where some comedy team comes on dressed as them and sings "We've Got a pair of massive chew sets" (you have to know a BeeGee's song to get it )
IT was Kenny Everett. Around 1:40 in this video
This doesn't seem quite what I remember but.....
