I sure was! That's one of my favorite Christmas sketches.
I thought it was sort of an unwritten rule that the host is never featured in the cold open. I can't remember the last time I saw that. It's just that Fallon is so talented, they had to use him there.
I'm assuming the Kimye sketch was written as the cold open.
On that note they broke it two fold, the host and the musical guest was in the cold opening...
I thought it was a re-run and deleted it without watching it.
Any chance it will be repeated?
Soon, I mean.
Next Saturday at 10 soon enough?
They did it with Kerry Washington this season and I'm pretty sure there was another one but can't remember. If it's an unwritten rule, it isn't rare that they break it.

Note: that's a 60-minute version, so some of the sketches mentioned in this thread will be cut out.
If they cut the Family Feud and Scrooge sketches, that will be a nice, tight 60 minutes of hilarity.
I don't care for her either. Her characters are all the same, and none of them are funny.
I thought Fallon was damn funny in the Scrooge sketch.
Family Feud was hilarious! Drop that Kimmy and Kanye skit. Pure and total dreck.
Is agree fued and Scrooge were not the worst.
Kimye wasn't that great and I didn't really enjoy the Barry Gibb skit.
Did Fallon use to do the Barry Gibb thing a lot or something?
Yes, but only with Justin Timberlake.
I was a little uncomfortable at the Barry Gibb sketch, given that it featured "Robin Gibb" even though the real Robin Gibb died. I know that given that the real Barry Gibb appeared that he was apparently OK with it, but it still made me uncomfortable.
They also did it with Betty White.
I was wondering if they were going to do it or not. To my knowledge, this was the first time they performed the skit since Robin died.
Pretty sure they've done it since. I remember thinking that he was dead.
I just looked it up, and my initial thoughts were correct. Robin died on May 20, 2012. The most recent occurrence of the skit prior to the other night was on May 21, 2011.
