I will give them this: they are moving this show along now. By episode 10, nearly every main character has been in a relationship or job situation that has ended, and usually ended ugly.

What dirt do you think Ellis dug up on Nick the bartender? I wonder if he's an ex-con.

I wonder about the wisdom of Eileen dumping on those regular investors. She may still need them some day, and she has quite burned those bridges.

I am thinking the bartender could be part of an Irish Mafia and now Eileen is indebted so to speak. Ofcourse I have been watching Lillehammer lately so it colors my thoughts.

It's possible, but it didn't sound like positive information he'd dug up. However, now that I think about it, it didn't seem like negative information either. If she was in danger, I think he would have insisted or blurted. Good news, he would keep to himself and try to steal it.

Probably something like he's crazy rich or used to be a woman or something like that. You might be on to something... she said "That's nice, but do you have X million lying around." and he said he didn't have that much lying around but didn't say that he didn't have it somewhere. :)

Or maybe he's related to Marilyn or DiMaggio or one of the other real-life characters from the musical.

It has something to do with the illegal but very lucrative deal Randy Cobra mentioned.

Loved finally seeing Tom in a very good musical number.

    Herndon,...
Yeah, Tom was good as Selznick (or who ever that was).

His partner, the failure of a wife, is so frickin' annoying.

What kind of bartender keeps stacks of bills behind the bar like that?

Seems the threads are getting smaller here for this show. Is the buzz gone? I have to admit I liked it better than I anticipated, but it's starting to get VERY soap opera-like. But as long as Katherine McPhee keeps wearing those tights, I'm in.

He is super hot--he was on All My Children. But I can't see him being serious about that old woman. If he has money and she doesn't, why would he want her?

Yeah, I see that being a huge problem down the line.

I don't get the artificial tension between Karen and Dev. Her being jealous of his reporter friend, him not telling her about his workplace difficulties and being overly concerned about Derek...it's just been such a personality reversal for both of them and doesn't seem like a road the writers need to take.

Loved Tom's musical number; he could easily star as Selznick.

I think it's more that there are fewer production numbers involving Bombshell. They are at a "lull" between the workshop stage and the pre-Broadway show tryouts; besides - you can't have both McPhee and Hilty doing Marilyn numbers, so you need excuses for both of them to break out into song.

Question: how many of the people on the show play themselves? The two investors were real-life producers Emmanuel (credited as Manny) Azenberg and Robyn Goodman.

Another point: why didn't they just call Uma, Uma? The Rebecca Duvall thing is just silly.

I know Michael Riedel played himself last week, during Eileen's power play with Derek.

I think because it gives them the option of portraying the character in an unfavorable light, which Uma might not appreciate if she were playing herself.
