Should I power off when not in use?

I have a Harmony One remote that I have set up to use with Tivo Roamio.

One of the options is to turn Roamio off when I am done watching it.

    Is that a good idea?

If I do turn off the power, will it automatically come back on when a show is due to be recorded?

    Thanks

Yes it's not really an off command, it just puts it in standby. You'll be fine for your scheduled recordings.

The Tivo doesn't really have an "off" state, but it has a standby mode. The standby mode shuts down the lights and video output to the TV. Background activity (all recordings) are still happening. It only saves a couple watts. Nothing substantial. But it's up to you.

Actually, looking at the Tivo remote, I don't even think there is a power button. There is a TV on/off button.

...so the green light stays on all the time?

It's on all the time unless you disable it in the Settings menu, or if the box is in standby mode.
