this soap opera crap is going on too long. i know we cant ever get west wing back but i'm soo tired of the prez acting all goo goo over pope. there's more 'action' on Veep than there is on this show, presidental-wise, and thats pretty sad.

what would pope be a material witness for if the prez issued that order?

as soon as we found out what network the interview with millie was on you just had to know whose husband would be the reporter there. it's tooo obvious.

actually now that i think about it, 1600 has more presidential things going on too

So disagree. I loved this episode -- Millie, Cyrus, Cyrus' hubby - everything. Tony Goodwyn directed it and did a great job.

I vaguely recall having an intense dislike for Mellie last season. However, the whole forbidden love arc of the President and Olivia has gotten so bad that I now actively root for Mellie. I loved the fact that she went thermonuclear (but in a very controlled way) on TV.

    Go Mellie!

I love this show. I hate POTUS and as much as I hate Mrs POTUS, I'm kinda rooting for her. He is a jerk.

I'm glad they figured out that Cyrus isn't the leak. I loved the the look on Cyrus' hubby's face (what is his name?) when Mellie made her announcement. Priceless!

I'm glad Huck is back. Wonder if he's going to reunited with his wife and son?

Was that the VP's ex-chief of staff? And David is working with him?

It appears so. I thought the last we say of Billy Chambers, it was strongly implied that he was going to be killed, because Huck's trainer got in the elevator with him.

Yeah, that's what I thought too.

But in hindsight, I guess that if he's Albatross, and Charlie was always Albatross' guy, then Charlie obviously wouldn't kill him.

Rowen (the guy from "Eureka", "Terminator 2", "Brother from Another Planet", etc.) and Mellie are running things. The former says, "jump" and even Cyrus asks, "how high?" The latter effectively plays mind games to get the POTUS to do exactly what she wants him to do. Her new handler (from "Torchwood") had it wrong about her wanting the President to fall back in love with her. She just wanted him to run for a second term, IMO.

I can't stand Cyrus. All the yelling drives me crazy.

it's enough to give the man a heart attack. nice to see that hucks bit as a drill instructor paid off and he has someone to follow in his footsteps.

so next year the prez goes to therapy, mends fences and wins the election? and is the guy from the unit getting tossed in the hole is kind of ironic but i'm glad he was held accountable for his lack of following orders.

i love the scenes where the prez is now in the basement as part of the bad boys club and that other guy starts talking about murder in front of him. i guess you really better never burn any bridges because you dont know who will wind up being your friend.

i take it father daughter relations are a bit shaky for the pope family :)

I'm not crazy about Cryus yelling, but I do like him. I especially like when he and Mellie are sparring.

I'm guessing Olivia's Dad leaked the mistress news. Guess next season is going to be more of this mysterious CIA stuff. Olivia seemed to know the CIA group when Jake named it. Does she know Dad is the head of it? Does Huck know that Rowan is Olivia's Dad? Huh, I was getting kinda bored with things, but I'm definitely liking the cliff hanger setup for next season!

She knew the name, at minimum, from the episode where Huck gathered all his old co-workers in the conference room to find out which one of them was selling their secrets.

It's also not unlikely (unless it was obvious from that episode that that was the first time he told her the name, I don't remember right now) that Huck may have mentioned the name to her at some time in the past.

Like the show and most of the characters, but on occasion, Olivia will have a one on one scene with the President, or someone else, and her OVER acting really takes away from her attractiveness, and is irritating.

Yep. Some people enjoy arguing. Doesn't work for me, but I know many people who like it. I think Cyrus and hubby like it, so more power to them. I enjoy Cyrus. I think he's entertaining since he's not yelling at me.:D
