I'm really enjoying this show. I was hoping the President thing wouldn't become the central story, but I am actually interested to see where it goes now.

The First Lady invites Olivia to the State Dinner and then says it was because the Pres needed to see Olivia and now he'll be able to sleep? Hum, guess she knows.

So did someone really send Cyrus the recording, or did Cyrus put it together to discredit Olivia?

I think the First Lady and Cyrus are working together to get the President to go after Olivia. It's always the seemingly helpful sidekicks who are the actual villains of the piece. And Amanda Tanner is actually a willing participant.

What I want now (and will never get) is an Olivia/Olivia crossover. Olivia Pope from "Scandal" and Olivia Benson from "Law & Order: SVU," first on opposite sides of a major sex scandal and then working together to find the real culprit. Good luck selling that to Shonda Rimes and Dick Wolf, though. :D

Well, the first lady is definitely up to something. I'm hoping Cyrus isn't.

I was really impressed with this show when I saw who was the creator I thought I would give it a shot and I like the cast and the story line is interesting enough to keep me coming back. I like that they have an episode story and the longer stuff going on to keep you interested between episodes.

For a while there Olivia really seemed to be losing it. But seems like she got it together finally.

I figured the preggers intern (or whatever she is) would change her mind about going public, but looks like she's been kidnapped before that could happen. Yikes! Wonder what Olivia is going to do about that? And I wonder if she'll still be preggers when they find her?

The cruel dictator plot didn't interest me much. I'm surprised he relented and let the kids stay behind.

Throw in the 2 Olivias from Fringe and then we'll have something.

And I wonder who did it? The administration? Or perhaps whoever she called on the phone ("I'm going to tell them the truth"). Who was that? The reporter? The "evil Republicans"?

My wife and I are really liking this show. It seems to be over before you know it. The breakneck pace is great!

Just found this thread after erroneously posting to a Season Pass one. I'm addicted to this show and here are my thoughts so far:

    Olivia - a "bad-a$$" (broke a wife beater's knee caps?)
Huck - Really like this scary man and I loved the "Pusherman" Superfly music when he was doing his "work" on his ex-colleague.
POTUS - Mixed about this philandering pig. Tony Goldwyn has an Aidan Quinn sexy going for him.
Liv & the POTUS - some serious chemistry there but it is so wrong!
FLOTUS - not as innocent as she wants to play off. She has her own agenda.
Stephen - smh and fanning about references to HIS TOOL but I can't personally see the attraction. (Maybe that is a good thing or the show would have to be on cable.)
Cyrus - a bad-a$$ who lies as he breathes (murderous gay pitt bull?) He should get an emmy for his tirades.
Harrison - Love this eye-candy but need to rewind to pick up everything he says so fast.
Abby - Loved when she told off Olivia -- "..you have to show up" and tells how she really feels about everything.

Yeah, I'm TiVOing this every week and watching with closed caption ON. The dialog is incredibly fast.

Wow, I loved this ep. It really explained how Olivia and The President got together. And the first lady sure is a piece of work! I'm not usually interested in flashbacks, but I thought this worked very well.

I thought the reporter was nuts, but turns out he had it figured out correctly. Looks like he won't live to tell the story though.

It was renewed yesterday for a second season.

I have been enjoying it but didn't care for the back story. She went from being a strong take control person to a weepy lovestruck teenager.

We all have our moments of being vulnerable. To me, that makes Olivia more real. No one can be in control all the time. I'm really loving the in control Olivia, but nice to know she's not perfect. YMMV.:)

I liked the few episodes I was able to see: unfortunately there are already two shows recording at that time, most weeks. I'll try to find them in reruns.

I had the vapors after this last episode. It was hotter than hot.

Pick it up on ABC site or the ABC Player (iPhone/iPad)

I love this show. I'm glad Shonda didn't get the memo about showing a clip from last scene at beginning of episode. So whats that new lawyers secret?

Perhaps she's the true heir to the throne of the Czars. Or a direct descendent of Jesus. Or a time-traveler who's come to warn us of the impending apocalypse of 2018. Or a space alien.

Cyrus had the girl killed! Whoa, nice one coming after all the crap with Billy.

I like that Huck didn't break his promise to Olivia, but Billy is dead (at least it looks like that with the hitman getting into the elevator with Billy.) And making Billy's death look like a suicide should tie things up nicely after the VP's TV appearance.
