Interesting. Never heard of any of them.

I just hope that with the departure of Kristen Wiig, they start using the other females in the cast a lot more, and I hope they can find a way to utilize Jay Pharoah more often.

Doesn't SNL usually not premiere until October?

Man, that Jay Pharoah guy has been pretty terrible. Is he still on the show? He does some good impressions but that's about it.

Not quite. The previous three seasons began about 2 weeks later than this will, but 2008, which was also an election year, started around this time.

NBC knows that SNL gets the most eyeballs during elections and is scheduling accordingly.

There's an SNL 1/2 hour election special on Thursday the 20th

I remember when they first announced that several months ago, and it seemed very odd that they'd air the SNL election special before any of the debates take place. Most Americans don't start paying attention to the election until after the first debate, so it seems kind of premature to do an election special when the majority of viewers won't even get the jokes and references.
