Roamio scrambled my season passes

I purchased a Roamio to replace my Premiere. To transfer the 140 season passes on my Premiere over to the Roamio, I used kmttg1p0i (which worked great, by the way!) I saved my Premiere season passes to a file, then applied that file to the Roamio. Once they were copied over, I pruned the season passes on the Roamio down to 104 season passes. So far, everything was going great.

At this point, I noticed that some of our kid's filler shows (Sesame Street, Superwhy, etc.) should probably be moved to the bottom. In the season pass manager, I moved three shows in the usual way (go to show, right-arrow, move to new position, left-arrow). On the fourth show, I accidentally right-arrowed again when the show was already selected to be moved. This brought up a "Still Updating" dialog, then it took me to a detailed information page for that show. When I left-arrowed to exit that page and get back to the season pass list, I found that my season pass list was scrambled!

At this point, I used kmttg to save the newly scrambled season passes to a file. Using some data processing, I was able to compare the two files and see how the entries in the scrambled file were positioned in the original file (factoring out the 36 season passes first). Here are the results:

You can see that the top and bottom halves of the list seem to have been roughly swapped, rather than the list being truly randomly scrambled. I'm not sure why this happened, and I can't reproduce it. I thought perhaps something about the kmttg transfer might have caused this, so I even deleted all season passes from the Roamio and repeated the transfer of all season passes from the Premiere to the Roamio with kmttg, but that didn't reproduce it.

This is just a heads-up to keep an eye on your season pass order when you edit them, just to be safe...

I noticed this too, and adjusted a bit until I realized, with 6 tuners, order of season passes almost has no meaning any more!

Same thing happened to me. I used the TiVo website to copy the 130 season passes from my Premiere to my Roamio and they where all in weird blocks like that out of order. I moved my favorite 10 or 20 shows to the top and another 10 or so that I could care less about to the bottom but like the other guy said with 6 tuners you should be fine. As you add new season passes you can order them as you see fit so not to mess with anything but if you really go crazy with new season passes just move a few of the favorites to the top and the crap to the bottom like I did so not to run into any problems.

I agree, however, I put mine in alphabetical order...kinda anal that way, I guess.

For those that this happened to, was the scramble caused by manipulating them in the Season Pass Manager? Six tuners or not, I think this should be fixed, and I'd like to report it. If we can come to a consensus on what causes it, I can note that.

This might not be a significant bug for six tuners, but it could be significant with four tuners. Plus as a software developer, it irritates me to implement an ordered list, only to have the software not preserve the order.

    Thanks!

Well with mine I originally thought it was due to copying the list in sections but it still wasn't even in order of the sections I copied. I had tried several times to copy all 130 season passes from my Premiere to my Roamio on the TiVo website and it errored every time. I just assumed it was to much data at one time. I broke it into 3 sections manually checking 40, then the next 40, then the last 50 then it allowed the copy. I'm not sure what the limit is to copy but it seems 130 is to many at one time.
