I'm well and truly bummed. Loved this show. Unlike any other currently on TV.

Yep this sucks. It seems they were waiting to see how their new shows did before making a Decision. As bad as the new shows did I am surprised they cancelled it.

Alan Sepinwall, the TV critic, says some other TV comedy would be smart to snatch up Bailey Buntain, "the Blonde Bunhead."

Another one and done by ABC Family. First The Nine Lives of Chloe King, now this.

Well, they DID give Bunheads longer than Chloe King.

I liked that one, too. :(

I agree. She was on a couple episodes of The Middle last year and was funny.

ABC Family killed The MiddleMan with a one and done also :(
They seem to excel at finding programs that really don't fit their audience but bring in others, then killing them for not attracting the core audience after all.

I wonder if these networks will stop naming shows, that will have a tough time finding an audience, something that makes it so 99.99% of the country has no idea what it's about.

Bunheads is a recognizable name to anyone associated with ballet. I know less than nothing about ballet but I must have seen some announcement about it to have found it

But presumably they'd like an audience larger than the number of people familiar with ballet.

I bet a lot more people were familiar with the term bunheads than were with the term MASH, which was a huge hit. I don't think you can blame the success or lack of it simply to the title.

MASH was based on a movie which was a cult favorite so no problem with familiarity.

You mean the movie right? Plus it was not too long after the Korean war ended and most of those GI's know what MASH stood for. I wonder if that is still a used term in the military?
