That of course makes the assumption that Schwimmer wouldn't have been one of the first ones killed when power went out.

I know this show isn't realistic but there's only so much suspension of disbelief I can do.

Just watched. I was really hoping for more.

I'm not looking forward to supernatural storylines, if that is where they are going.

I just assumed Aaron almost died but the nanobots kept his brain alive then over the course of an hour or two they repaired enough of the damage in his body to let him survive. Nanobots revived him. Nothing supernatural. "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." - A.C. Clarke.

What's special about Aaron? Why repair him and not the other dead people? I guess we'll find out.

Well, if we're wagering on which would be the last surviving Friend in an apocalypse, my money is on that scrappy lil' Lisa Kudrow.

Because he's Revolvolution's equivalent of Jeff Bridges in TRON? Either that or because the nanobots are cliquish jerks.

Maybe they just recognized their "father?" Aaron's work was a major contributor to the project that turned off the power, created the nanobots, etc, right? I am thinking of the Outer Limits episode with Jeff Bridges, "Sandkings." Anybody else remember that? From 1995. Spoilers for the episode at this link...

Maybe the nanobots are saving their creator.

That's what I thought...as a matter of fact, I thought it was pretty obvious that was the case.

It was Beau Bridges, not Jeff. I always liked that episode. Very creepy.

What did you think was going to happen? It was pretty obvious that was going to be the case at the end of last season. Plus the entire premise of the show is based on the fact that they lost power to everything. I expected the power to stay off, since that is what the show is based on. To suddenly have everyone with access to power would make it a completely different show.

Now that being said, I do like the show, but I yelled out **** when the first thing I saw was "six months later".

I'm going to stick with it for right now. I read that JJ/Kripke wanted to reboot the show, he admits it went off the rails last season and he's brought in new writers.

I'll keep watching for right now. I assumed Aaron was revived because Julia had the capsule from her knee and put it in his chest.

Even if she did have it, it would have needed to be programmed first to heal him.
