Replace HD with Premiere on Annual Service

    I have a TiVo HD that's currently grandfathered in on an annual plan. I just got a Premiere for a really good price. Is it possible to just substitute the Premiere for the HD and keep the annual plan. Would I just change the service number or would a call to TiVo customer support be needed.

    AFAIK you must call on the Premiere, you can do it for all Series 3 models (and older) by just using the TiVo Web sight.

    Also, be prepared to pay full price for the Premiere. In the past, that was one of the requirements to transfer a service plan from the Series 3 to the Series 4 platform.
