Record On-Demand?

    can I record an on-demand show? some will expire soon and I want them to see later on.

    No, because being able to record on-demand programs would allow you to "steal" a movie that you paid to rent and view once.

    some tv shows on there will expire and was hoping to save for later viewing. I guess the only option is to connect the composite output to computer or VCR and record.

    This was possible on S2/S1 units that had to use a cable box. You could put the Tivo on any given channel, I usually use CSPAN or other channels that have programming in large blocks (i.e. 6pm-10pm for a certain show) and then use the cable box remote to put on On Demand. Play the show and tell the Tivo to record what it thinks is the channel you put it on. You end with with the wrong program info but can record On Demand programming. That is no longer possible with Tivos that use Cable Cards.

    What shows? do you mean actual ondemand or a regular show and just don't have it saved until you delete it?
