Some variations I would have like to seen Anne Dudek as Pam and Alan Tudyk as Michael.

Adam Scott probably would have been a great Jim, but then he couldn't be a great Ben Wyatt on Parks & Rec.

I wonder why Jenna Fischer's name wasn't checked off like all the rest?

I find it interesting to see that sheet.

Wasn't Nov 2003 kind of early in the run of 24 for Mary Lynn Rajskub to be looking for another job?

Was # 4 er, I mean 5 the guy who played Christine's brother in New Christine?

I would have liked to seen Mary Lynn as Pam. Despite her role on 24 - she's very funny and could probably do the "straight man" or over-the-top funny role.

Not that Fischer has been disappointing either.

It's possible that Mary Lynn was up in the air on her 24 role at the time of the audition.

I love Mary Lynn Rajskub, but I don't know that she could pull off the Pam character the way Jenna Fischer has. I like the way she plays it.

I agree. She didn't come on until season 3 and people die all the time on that show. I'm sure she didn't have much of a deall past a few episodes at that point.

I think that Alan Tudyk as Michael would have been a lot like Noah on Suburgatory.

I LOVE Hamish Linklater, but he would not have been great as Jim, I don't think.

And I'm glad Adam Scott was saved for P&R. I LOVE him there.

Wow. Googling the other names I don't know-they're almost all familiar. I'd forgotten Ben Falcone is Melissa McCarthy's husband and has appeared with her.

Stating the obvious but we would have considered these characters completely differently had they been played by these people. So someone "not being right for Pam" would not have been a consideration, that person simply would be Pam.
