I'm at a loss to explain this one; I've never seen anything like it. I downloaded a torrent of a show I missed yesterday and used PyTiVo to push it to my Premiere. When I went to watch it yesterday, it had full episode description and episode title on the TiVo. I've pushed hundreds of shows using PyTiVo and never had anything like this automatic population of metadata happen before. What's the explanation?

pyTivo reading metadata from within the video file itself instead of the usual txt file. (mp4 containers can contain a whole bunch of metadata).

Thanks-- that explains it! I'm so used to downloading .mkv files that I didn't even realize I grabbed .mp4s this time.

    MKVs can have metadata too.
