    I have searched thru the forums and have not had any luck getting pytivo to transfer my m4v (not from iTunes store) files with 5.1 audio. They play perfectly in stereo.

    Here are the audio settings for my file:

    Stream #0:0(und): Video: h264 (High) (avc1 / 0x31637661), yuv420p(tv, bt709), 1280x528 [SAR 66:67 DAR 160:67], 1875 kb/s, 23.98 fps, 23.98 tbr, 90k tbn, 180k tbc (default)
    Metadata:
    creation_time : 2012-11-07 23:12:15
    encoder : JVT/AVC Coding
    Stream #0:1(eng): Audio: aac (mp4a / 0x6134706D), 48000 Hz, stereo, fltp, 165 kb/s (default)
    Metadata:
    creation_time : 2012-11-07 23:12:15
    Stream #0:2(eng): Audio: ac3 (ac-3 / 0x332D6361), 48000 Hz, 5.1(side), fltp, 640 kb/s
    Metadata:
    creation_time : 2012-11-07 23:12:15
    Stream #0:3: Video: png, rgb24, 400x600, 90k tbr, 90k tbn, 90k tbc
    Stream #0:4(und): Subtitle: mov_text (text / 0x74786574), 0 kb/s

    Here is my custom settings for pytivo.conf.

    [Server]
    audio_lang = 5.1, DTS, en
    override_mapaudio = 0:2
    ffmpeg = /Applications/pytivo/bin/ffmpeg

    Here is what pytivo does :

    Stream #0:0(und): Video: mpeg2video, yuv420p, 1280x528 [SAR 66:67 DAR 160:67], q=2-31, 16384 kb/s, 23.98 fps, 90k tbn, 23.98 tbc (default)
    Metadata:
    creation_time : 2012-11-07 23:12:15
    encoder : Lavc55.69.100 mpeg2video
    Stream #0:1(eng): Audio: ac3, 48000 Hz, stereo, fltp, 448 kb/s (default)
    Metadata:
    creation_time : 2012-11-07 23:12:15
    encoder : Lavc55.69.100 ac3
    Stream mapping:
    Stream #0:0 -> #0:0 (h264 (native) -> mpeg2video (native))
    Stream #0:1 -> #0:1 (aac (native) -> ac3 (native))

    I must be missing something easy. What easy setting am I missing.

    10.9.4 OS
    I got my ffmpeg from here: http://ffmpegmac.net
    and the latest pytivo from here: http://repo.or.cz/w/pyTivo/wmcbrine/lucasnz.git
