And so it begins. Let's put the OAD and episode title in the post title (or in the beginning of your post, if you can't load the post title) for the first post about the new episode each week. It makes it easier when people are not caught up to the current episode.

All-Stars really bugs me -- it's just not as satisfying as the original show -- but it's like a train-wreck, I can't help watching.

And of course the producers have gone out of their way to load the show with designers I really wanted to see again -- and designers I never wanted to see again.

    Three former winners? Seriously, PR?

Is anyone else game for this?

I watched it and my favorite went home first.
I'm out- most of these people are just annoying.
And what in God's name happened to Seth Aaron's eyebrows? He looks beyond ridiculous- even worse than Alexander and that's saying something.

I watched and yes it is like a train wreck you can't take your eyes off of.

My biggest complaint is Alyssa Milano as the new host.
"And I am going to be one of the judgesÂ…"
    Why?
    On what grounds?
    Terrible casting.
    She was just downright awful.

OMG Jeffrey is like a roach that will not die no matter how hard you squash it.

He sent his girl down the runway with her va-ja-jay showing and they still didn't send him home.

WTF has he got on the producers of this show? I do not get it.

I stumbled on this last night and got to watch previous episodes but not the pilot.

Bug challenge - oh my couldn't believe that Jeffrey sent a woman down the runway with that thing on her. Victor nailed it - looked like the lamp from The Christmas Story.

Okay, I will be caught up and it's on my SP now.

I came to post the very same thing- how is he still there?

"We were never told it had to be wearable."
    WTF??

And that no one went home just adds insult to injury.

And IMO Viktor should have won- for me that was the only entry even remotely "wearable." Snerk.

I deduce the reason no one went home is that the judging panel was hopelessly split on who should go, and could not reach a consensus. You can see Isaac was ready to defend Michael's design.

If they had gone with my husband's weekly solution: "Send them all home!" then the season would be really short. ;)

Well, his comment "If you squint your eyes and blur your vision and look at it only through the peripheral vision of your left eye when facing south at three minutes before sunrise it kinds sorta looks like it might be passable." was absurd. Obviously paraphrasing, lol.

But not nearly as absurd as Jeffrey sending out a bare yoohoo and buttcheeks.
The first rule of clothing is that it should cover a womans nether regions.
If you can't do that you're out.

IMO it really is that simple.

"Didn't know it was supposed to be wearable."
    Harrumph, p'shaw, and poppycock.

    Okay I am caught up.

Jeffrey should have been sent home.

He used the "didn't know it was supposed to be wearable" bit the week before too. And got read the riot act for it. And yet, he comes out with it again. What was he thinking? When has anything not supposed to be wearable. Where are the great designs he had from his past time on PR. I am not seeing it here. He was innovative and had some beautifully constructed pieces.

I wasn't seeing them during the season when Jeffery won. :p

Yes, I'm still pissed off about the Paris 'couture gown' challenge. Jeffery won, and God only knows why. His model looked like she was doing the Walk of Shame wrapped in an ugly yellow plaid bedspread. The judges went gaga over that, all while turning up their noses at Kayne's exquisitely constructed gown. And they said Kayne has no taste. #thingspeopledothatbaffleme

I couldn't believe they didn't send Jeffrey packing. Two weeks in a row he has sent down total horror shows. And then they didn't even send anyone home. That is just ridiculous. IMO they should only do that when everything is very good, not when everything is awful.

Overall this show is pretty terrible. I guess it's not the designers' fault, but the host/mentor/judge casting is BAD. Isaac Mizrahi is the only one who even seems to have any kind of personality at all. Plus the whole All-star concept is pretty annoying -- and there's nobody that I was dying to see more of. Honestly I barely remember a lot of them. I am thinking I will cancel my SP.

Looks like nobody had anything to say about the previous week's episode? I still can't believe Jeffrey won last week.

My favorite moment in tonight's episode, not counting the part where they revealed what the challenge was --

The shot of the inspiration board on the wall, with the two color cards, showing Marge's Pantone colors. :D

(Second favorite shot: Swatch rolling on the floor at Mood.)

Pretty impressive to see ALL the women kicking butt, and the guys either in the middle or on the bottom. My fave was the #2 choice, the red dress. I liked the fact that Elena styled her dress with a necklace, something that most of the designers didn't bother with. It did seem most like something the client would pick out for herself.

I couldn't pay any attention to the judging at all because I was so flabbergastingly gobsmacked by how utterly ridiculous Anthony Ryan looked. I understand he's doing chemo again, but yikes to the shorts and electrical tape mohawk.
I'll have to rewatch to be able to even comment on actual garments.

ETA: Here's Marge modeling the looks-

I actually missed recording/watching it last week. I recorded both last week and last nights and will be watching them tonight. I am looking forward to the Marge Simpson challenge (not bothered by spoilers because I won't remember them when I start watching).

Funny, the one dress I think she looks the best in is the one that all the judges jumped on (the purple long gown). That said, I do like the winning dress and that look for Marge and Date night with Homer.

A purple is the best color to set off her complexion. ;)

The judges might have gone for the purple long gown better if the styling had been more thoughtful.

It's supposed to be about the whole look. I get annoyed with the judges; note how Christopher made the effort to pick out a bag, but no one else did. It's a PITA to ask your husband to carry all your stuff in his pockets; IRL a woman would have a bag.

    I haven't had a purse/bag in my hands at least since maybe 1989- it's a non-issue for me :D
