Problem with quality default and delete defaults

    me again, excuse me if im being an idiot; I am a little new to this...

    another problem, I have it defaulted to record on "medium quality" but it always does "best quality" unless I go into options EVERY TIME, even though i have it defaulted to medium

    And lastly, I have it defaulted to 'delete only when I tell it to" yet when i see my "now playing ' list, it has the "delete when tivo needs to" or something like that.

    The default quality setting is only for recordings scheduled before the show actually begins. The live TV buffer is always recorded at best quality. If you try to record something that you are already watching (or is in the buffer anyway) it will have to be recorded at best or you can choose to lose whatever is in the buffer and record at whatever other quality you want.

    Season passes can have the default 'Keep until space needed' changed to KUID as you have done. Other recordings have to be set up individually as KUID.
