Effective 3/25/12 TiVo's Premiere pricing changes again and the Premiere's hard drive is increased from 320GB to 500GB so I am re-posting the Premiere's price history for any who are interested (I have only included pricing on new Premiere's not Factory-renewed offers).

The current price & service options are highlighted and underlined, anything not highlighted and underlined is not currently available:

I know some people were able to get some non published deals but I left them out. I am also leaving out the various discounts retailers had/have on the price of the Premiere box and only listed box prices TiVo offered.

Anyone care to speculate what TiVo will try next? :D

    Thanks,

For a few days last September they did an MSD pricing of $49 box and $399 lifetime for a standard Premeire. Now that the 500GB version is out I wonder if they will do another special on the 320GB versions left in stock. Personally, I'm thinking that the 500Gb Premeire is more of a response to the hard drive shortage than a real upgrade. If 500Gb drives are more readily available than 320's then all they had to do was slap one in a Premeire chassis and stick a new part number on it.

Here is the official Tivo blog http://blog.tivo.com/?WT.mc_id=NL0312

I am going tomorrow an get my $100 back from BB as I just bought the Elite. By the way I love the Elite even though the HDUI is a little slow. I can't believe how many time I have used all four of the tuners.

So am in the 30 day period on my Premiere (320gb). Does that box qualify for the $14.99 rate or am I stuck at $19.99? If it does qualify, is that something I need to call about or will it change automatically?

Edit: Nevermind. It's clear in the blog post that the new pricing applies to all Premieres.

I think, overall, this is a good move by TiVo. Anything to reduce the monthly subscription, but keep the retail price to buy the box within reason, is GOOD.
