    I have a Premiere 2-tuner and a LG 37LH30 TV. To listen to audio via the analog-only stereo receiver:

    TiVo -> HDMI -> TV -> S/PDIF -> DAC -> analog stereo -> stereo receiver

    If I do this, the stereo system is synced perfectly with the TV.

    TiVo -> analog stereo -> stereo receiver

    If I do this, the stereo system audio is about 0.2 seconds ahead of the TV.

    This is easily demonstrated by un-muting the TV speakers--in case 1, it's perfect; case 2 gives me that annoying delay.

    Any idea why? I can't tell a quality difference (after all, it's not bouncing around an analog signal), but going through the TV definitely lowers the volume level going into the stereo receiver.

    Thanks!

    PS--The DAC is because the TV's audio output is S/PDIF only.
