I've set up a Tivo wireless n adapter on one of my premieres. I can view transmit speeds on my access point, and the adapter seems stuck at 13.5 mbps. A computer right next to it is connected at over 100 mpbs.

    Any thoughts? Is it broken?

I tried updating the firmware, but the process never finished (tried twice). I think it has the most recent firmware, however.

OK, following up my own question here :) I changed the channel on my access point from 10 to 11 and that seems to have solved my problem. Transmit is now 150 mbps.

Seems like magic, but I'll take it.

Sounds like area congestion. Likely you have a neighbor on channel 6. Render channels 1-11 (the 2.4 ghz band) over lap.channel width ours 20/40 mhz channel center to center is 5 mhz so channels overlap both directions (hi-lo). The 5 ghz band channels don't overlap they are 20 mhz channel center to center.
