    Hey all,

I'm using Vegas Pro 11 to render some videos on my TiVo Premiere. Since I only have TiVo Desktop (not Plus), I've rendered them as MPEG 2. They play just fine on my PC with Winamp and Windows Media Player. However when I play them with TiVo I get no sound.

Could it be a codec issue?

    Thanks in advance :)

Check to see what audio codec your editing software is outputting.
IIRC the Premiere is limited to MP3 or AC3 as the audio codec.

You should use TivoDecode to decrypt the videos instead, its free.

If I'm looking in the right place, it says MPEG Layer 1. If that's not right I'm not sure where to look.

TivoDecode looks like it coverts .tivo files to MPEG. I want to render MPEG files so I can view them on TiVo.

I've never had any luck using AC3 audio. I always choose MPEG audio.

You might try changing that setting to output to MPEG Layer 2.
