We have had an ongoing problem with our Comcast SA cablecards. Since June16, when Comcast changed servers, we have basically been unable to use our TivoHD. It had been working beautifully with an SA M card for the two months we had it prior to June 16. Now, with well over 24 total hours spent with techs, and many M cards, we finally tried the S card last week. lo and behold, one worked! Of course, when the tech installed the second, it was a bad card. He then hooked up our loaner HDDVR from Comcast, took the good card to get a second one for our unit. Came back yesterday. The "good card" worked but we couldn't get it on the account because someone hadn't done their job correctly and the card was still shown as being "in use". None of the other cards worked at all.
My question now is, when we had the first working card in the slot, while waiting to talk to Comcast, the live TV popped up. We had all our HD channels and analog channels 7 and below. Does it take time for all the channels to show up? It didn;t when our first M card was installed. Just about 1/2 hr. for the tech to do his thing, run guided set-up and everything was fine.
Our local techs have been super. I can;'t say enough about their work ethic, but then they are former Adelphia people and we never had a problem with Adelphia. It just seems the cards are all used, not properly treated and then no one is trained to wotk with them
