    I was hoping that the Roamio would support Netflix profile selection... does not look like it.

    Also, kind of lame for NetFlix to come out with profiles with no password protection!

    Contrary to what has been assumed by some, the TiVo Netflix app for Roamio and Minis is NOT yet html5, it's still flash. It's the YouTube app that is html5. That explains why it's not getting the user profiles update that other clients already have.

    Are you sure? If you look at the app info (Up-Up-Down-Down-Left-Right-Left-Right-Up-Up-Up-Up) the version number string mentions a couple of javascript files. It also looks completely different then the info screen shown on my Premiere and my Samusun TV which both do use Flash.

    I was also bummed to see Roamio didn't support Netflix profiles. Just the other day I created one for my kids and moved all their stuff off my Instant Queue to theirs. Now they can't access any of it. I guess I'll move everything back to mine again and hope that eventually the app gets updated to support profiles. Seems like it would be an easy thing to implement with HTML5.

    Pretty sure. Here's part of the structures of the launch points of YouTube & Netflix on my Roamio & Premiere units. Note YouTube is type "web" while Netflix is type "flash" for series 5. (Note that it's a different flash version than series 4)
    series 5 YouTube:
    Code:
             "instanceDescription": "YouTube Web",
             "uiDestinationType": "web",
             "uiDestinationId": "tivo:ud.1000251",
             "uiDestinationInstanceId": "tivo:di.1000951",
             "type": "uiDestinationInstance",
             "uri": "x-tivo:web:https://www.youtube.com/tv",

    series 5 Netflix:
    Code:
             "instanceDescription": "Netflix Gibbon",
             "uiDestinationType": "flash",
             "uiDestinationId": "tivo:ud.1000171",
             "uiDestinationInstanceId": "tivo:di.1000961",
             "type": "uiDestinationInstance",
             "uri": "x-tivo:netflix:netflix",

    series 4 YouTube:
    Code:
             "instanceDescription": "YouTube Leanback",
             "uiDestinationType": "flash",
             "uiDestinationId": "tivo:ud.1000251",
             "uiDestinationInstanceId": "tivo:di.1000851",
             "type": "uiDestinationInstance",
             "uri": "x-tivo:flash:uuid:B8CEA236-0C3D-41DA-9711-ED220480778E",

    series 4 Netflix:
    Code:
             "instanceDescription": "Netflix flash app",
             "uiDestinationType": "flash",
             "uiDestinationId": "tivo:ud.1000171",
             "uiDestinationInstanceId": "tivo:di.1000841",
             "type": "uiDestinationInstance",
             "uri": "x-tivo:flash:uuid:F23D193D-D2C2-4D18-9ABE-FA6B8488302F",

    I would expect it to be moved to HTML5 very soon if it indeed isn't right now. Perhaps at that time it will support profiles.

    The Verge review indicates Netflix has not been moved to HTML5 yet (only YouTube has). But earlier in the review it says that the TiVo Netflix app is now on the "latest platform". Are there other Netflix clients (Roku, WDTV Live, BluRay players, phones, etc) that are Flash-based?
