Just purchased a 55-inch Sigmac TV from Walmart. It's great, but TiVo doesn't have remote codes for it. (I tried going through the codes manually, too--no soap.)

Is there a way to request that TiVo add codes for a particular brand? I think Sigmac is quite new...maybe it's just a matter of time?

    TIA!

Follow up question. (Note: Code 0303 worked on my Sigmac - around 31 or 32 inches).

I also used code 0303 to program the TV input button. That does work now, and it brings up the TV's native input menu, where it lists all my inputs port. To actually pick an input, I need to scroll down that list and select one. My TV remote has no problems doing this, but I can't figure out how to select a port using the TiVo remote. It's cursor buttons don't do it.

My question is: Is this actually supported by TiVo? Or is this programming of the TV input just limited to displaying the inputs, but not selecting one? It seems kind of useless if that's all I'm allowed to do.

Regardless, I'm very thankful for this thread for at least getting the TV power on, power off, and volume buttons to work. My TV remote volume stopped working so for over a month I've been using the panel buttons on the TV for that.

You are SOL. The input button only works with TVs that cycle through the inputs by continuously pressing the input button. If the TV remote requires that you scroll to the desired input, the TiVo input button is useless.

Oh well; thanks for resolving this question. At least I have the power and volume buttons working, which is a great help; I'll just continue using the TV remote for controlling the input. (I use it to choose between my Roamio and Bolt.)

The solution I have read for this is to buy a universal remote that actually uses the code to switch to the needed input, and then to train the TiVo remote with that ultimate code. A comparison thread discussing this with Viewsonic TV's: Slide Pro Remote input button programming: limited functionality?
