Will moca pass through a tuning adapter?

I believe it does but can cause issues. The recommended setup is to use a splitter coming out of the wall, have one leg go to the TA, the other to the TiVo.

This is what I do but also make sure you use a POE filter at the head end of the cable that comes into the home.

My moca is up and running fine. What are risks of not using POE filter? Security?

    benefits of using poe:
security, being a good neighbor, stronger moca signal since the poe filter is supposed to "bounce back" the moca internally.

Agreed with all the points Adam brings up but most of all I found better speed.

    Paradise...
My signal level and snr dropped though, so I removed mine trying to troubleshoot all my issues. I'm afraid to put it back in.
