I thought this series was really good.

So in this fictional version, Bugsy Siegel is gunned down by Teague, the rogue cop. I am pretty sure, in reality, he's gunned down on orders from Myer Lansky and the NY crew, because of all the money he owed them from building the Las Vegas casino.

The killing is still unsolved, so it gives the writers freedom to create their own story.

If you read the details on Wilipedia you'll see they copied the actual shooting almost bullet for bullet. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bugsy_Siegel#Death

Ahhhh...cool. My misconception. Then that's a great ending (well it was anyway, even if it was completely different than the facts).

Yup, they even got the detail of the 30 cal. M1 carbine as the murder weapon though Bugsy's assailant is still unknown.

I liked Mob City much more than Bonnie & Clyde with the writer's embellishments to the respective stories.

Teague can really take a beating to the face! Ouch!

I've always heard that Bugsy Siegel created Las Vegas but I didn't know he just started to build the Flamingo and then was killed. I envisioned him running the place.

the Flamingo was actually opened, then closed, then reopened for business during his lifetime.
