If I replace the power supply and hard drive in my Tivo HD will I mess up my Lifetime Service contract?

No. The "lifetime" is based on the TSN that is embedded in a chip on the MB.

Are you just curious for future reference or do you think that both the power supply and hard drive need to be replaced?

Actually a little of both. I did replace the power supply with a brand new one and it was not rebooting at all. Then all the sudden it did a reboot. Now granted I was pushing it with commands, bouncing back and forth from Video on demand, live tv, pod cast, amazon, etc. And it was between going from Netflix to a pod cast then to live tv that it did a reboot. It hasn't done it since but it made me dubious that the PS replacement did the trick.
