    I liked the show as well. It was an original way to present a zombie world.

    The first season was great, the second season had its merits but also IMHO kind of betrayed the premise of the first season -- it started out as a show about an "ordinary" zombie, and in the second season, they gave in to the temptation to make him "special", i.e. one of the first to ever rise. This seems to happen a lot in F & SF shows that initially aim to focus on the lives of regular people in extraordinary settings... it's kind of a pet peeve of mine.

    And there were other things that happened in season two that seemed contrary to at least the spirit of season one, if not the letter... I always assumed they got a new show runner, but I never actually checked that.

    Not sure if they got a new show runner but I think it's more like second album syndrome. You have years to develop a great idea that quite neatly wrapped up. Then you only have one year to come up with a follow up that is supposed to be better.
