    Maybe this should go in Happy Hour but..anyway...

    Since I just found out that George RR Martin was from New Joisey, and in his interview on Conan O'Brien, he said he thought a lot as a kid about those magical places across the river from Bayonne, his hometown...like Staten Island, I wonder if Game of Thrones is just GRRM's parallel universe to the Sopranos

    So I have Tywin = Tony
    Tyrion = Chris
    Cercie = Carmela

    Well you get the idea....

    It's Friday, have fun with it!!

    yes probably belongs in HH but I don't see the parallels.

    Tony wanted Chris to take the mantle Tywin wants Tyrion to go away. Cercie wants a greater role in controlling the family and long term strategy, Carmela more interested in what happens within the family.

    Yeah, fun idea, but the characters don't mesh at all. Tywin doesn't have the issues that Tony (and the entire Soprano's series was about) does

    Tywin with a psychiatrist or whatever the equivalent in GOT world would be hilarious..he'd probably end up killing whoever he was confiding in and the rest of their whole family so nothing gets out.
