I found a reliable, repeatable way to crash the Roamio Pro... Just start watching a channel with no guide data (it only says "To be announced" in the current time slot and nothing in the right column at all). After a few seconds on recording, the TiVo reboots, and there's no record of anything having been done after it comes back up. Works on channel 156 on TWC in Brooklyn (News 12) every time.

why would you want to intentionally crash a TiVo?

    I wouldn't... And I should not be able to. It's a bug.

A guy went to the doctor and said, "Doctor, my leg hurts whenever I do karate roundhouse kicks."
"Then stop doing that," replied the doctor.

A guy went to the repair shop and said, "every time I try to record that channel, my DVR crashes." "Then we'll fix that bug," said the repairman.

Recording a channel should not crash the TiVo... I find resistance to that rather mild ideal somewhat puzzling.

I was able to do this as well although not in your market and it rebooted on same condition. Interesting find and one that needs to be squashed.

There are two ways to fix this:
    1. Let TiVo know about the bug.
    2. Put in a request to have the guide updated for the channel.

    I'd do both.
