I see what you did there.
Speaking of Geddy Lee, man did he look horrible!!
I'm "obsessed with the name of the show, and I thought it was hilarious. I also thought they did move it along. Basically the stalker girl was his last fling before he met the mother. I think that was kind of clear. BTW, that stalker girl reminded me so much of Drew Barrymore. Looked a little like her, and the voice inflection was REALLY similar.
I thought the exact same thing when I saw her.
I think the whole Robin Sparkles thing is played out. Didn't we see Robin and her girlfriend with Alan Thicke in a previous episode? There was no mention of her stalking then. It would've made more sense to be Dave Coulier.
I will admit, most of the Alanis Morissette stuff was lost on me. After reading through all the posts here...This episode makes a little more sense now.
Compared to who or when?
She has played Drew Barrymore on SNL more than once. It actually annoyed me that she chose to do the Barrymore voice.
Not sure what you mean: why would they have mentioned the stalking in a previous episode with Alan Thicke? She was stalking Paul Schaffer (P.S.) not Alan.
I slightly groaned at this. I wish they had made it *slightly* less obvious. That is, if they had Dave Coulier in the list they showed on screen (IIRC was in weird stretched out fonts), it would have been a funny "in" joke.. But it went slightly too far/obvious having him in it.
Uhh, that was half of the entire joke!
Were those real doughnut varieties? I'm certainly not an aficionado, but many of them sounded different from any doughnut/bar I've ever had. Honey dipped I think was one? I mean that one is pretty obvious, but there were others I'd never heard of.
She's pretty.. and also happens to be Chris Elliot's daughter.. (He plays Lily's father who takes care of the baby.. and used to be big on Letterman's show in the 80s.)
I'm sure Dave needed the work and Saget threw him a bone.
I loved the "cut it out" thing too, but didn't realize/remember he did it on Full House. Coulier was on a Nickelodeon show called Out of Control before Full House. He did the "cut it out" thing on that show too and I've always remembered him for it.
ETA: I thought this episode was great!!
I really liked this episode.
Took me a few minutes to realize that was Abby Elliot, I kept thinking she looked really familiar.
Ohhhh. I was confused then. Nevermind.
Yes, those are all popular at Tim's. The one point I feel they missed though is that, while we might have remembered which Tim's we were at (and what doughnut we were eating), it would never have been as simple as "the Tim's in Sudbury" - it would have been a very specific Tim's, and we would probably have driven past 2 or 3 to get to our favorite! For the record, I'm a Dutchie fan (glazed yeast doughnut with raisins)
OK, this thread made me listen to the Jagged Little Pill album.
Not all of them, but for the one that wasn't, Tim Horton's decided to go ahead and make it:
...we loved the idea of The Priestley so much, we made a batch.
Why.. yes... iTunes has it
While it was a one-time batch... I would think that, if enough people request it, they would find a way to make more.
EDIT: Cobie Smulders tweeted that she wanted one which prompted TH to reply that when she comes back home to stop by and they'll make a batch for her.
