I'll just bump this instead of creating a new thread.

I am actually enjoying this more each week. I enjoyed week 2 of this more than I did week 2 of Blacklist. Episode 3 I actually watched this before Blacklist.

Dylan was on Jimmy last night, and they did say the entire season will span 2 weeks.

I resurrect this thread only to state how lame this show is. Really bad. Terrible even, but I can't look away. As was said in a hearing on Capitol Hill today in regard to Obamacare, "calling it a train wreck isn't fair to train wrecks."

It feels like the writers are out of control, even they don't know where to go or what to do next. Not good TV. We watch it only while we fold clothes and wait for Blacklist to come on.

The show is awful as is the acting and casting. Makes the cat in the woods episode of "24" look realistic.

I could not subject myself to more than a couple episodes of this. Toni Collette and Dylan McDermott are terribly miscast and I could not stand watching them in these roles, amongst other issues.

I really enjoy it. It's actually one of the few shows I think I have been mostly keeping up with week to week.

Has anyone seen the original Israeli version?

I'm still enjoying the series, although its completely absurd at this point. Opportunities to kill their captors, opportunities to tell the authorities, opportunities to just plain leave...

This woman is to perform surgery on the president, and yet the powers that be are oblivious to three strangers living in her home for an extended period. If the conspiracy is so powerful as to hide the hostage-taking from the secret service, then surely they're powerful enough to kill the president by a more direct means.

This. There are plot holes you could float an aircraft carrier through. But it's suspenseful and entertaining in it's way. It's the kind of show that you just ignore the implausibility of and just go with it. It's a one season show by design at least, so there should be an ending. Sticking with it until the end.

Just when you thought it couldn't get any more absurd, on last nights episode, we find that...

duncan's motivation for assassinating the president appears to be to get a bone marrow donation for his wife, who happens to secretly be the president's daughter.

Also, the surgeon didn't know the president had a very rare blood type, until she managed to steal a blood sample. Apparently this information wasn't necessary for the operation

    Still enjoying it, though.

I just watched episode 13 ( I skipped episodes 4-12, just too dumb/boring) because I heard finale is tomorrow. Like I didn't miss anything.

Interesting that they are calling it the "season" finale, not the series finale. Has this been renewed? I thought ratings were fairly bad (for CBS) and that it was supposed to be a "one off" anyway. I have kind of liked the season, but I can't see how they could string this out and make it interesting going forward. It's kind of like Prison Break in that respect. Once the story line is over, what now?

We are in the midst of binge watching the season and enjoying it. Not the greatest show ever but also not the worst.

My wife told me she heard the plan is if there is another season, it will be a different hostage situation.

I was wondering the same thing and since there was no finale thread (that I found) I am glad someone else asked here.

I watched every single episode. I thought the wife/doctor was absolutely horrible, but I think the entire cast was pretty bad. There really wasn't much redeeming about this show. yet I still watched.

This is the end. The ratings were awful for this and there is no way that CBS will bring it back. There was nothing about the way it ended that made me want more.

Toni Collette is a pretty good actress, but most of this show she didn't show it. I thought the ending was about as good as could be expected, except:

    Major Finale spoiler:
My wife and I literally laughed out loud and mocked the show when Ellen just dropped the marrow off with Nina and told her to have her doctors give it to her. That is surely the most preposterous of all the preposterous things that happened on this show.

Agree with this (and your spoiler). There were so many head scratching moments with this show, but once I was in, I wanted to see how it ended. If this had any basis in reality the whole plot would have been blown up by no later than episode 3. I was very disappointed in Toni Collete especially who was SO wooden in her part. When you compare the work she did here with what she did on "Tara" it makes you wonder if it was even the same actress.

I enjoyed it, but this was a truly stupid series. All believability was lost by the second or third episode, at best.

I too find it interesting that they referred to it as a season rather than series finale. I would like to say they left it in a state with so much resolution that its impossible to continue, but .... Somehow they stretched out a plot befitting to a 2 hour movie into an entire season of implausible twists. So, anything is possible.

Era: for what it's worth, I'm fine with the ending. It was no more implausible than the rest of the series. Any viewer who made it this far knew what he/she was in for.
