We've been having a number monsoonal storms near us and I note that when the warning comes on and I am watching a recorded program, the TiVo switches to live. Is this standard procedure with TiVo? Hard to believe that the cable co can do that.

On my old cable DVR, the warning just played on top of the recorded show I was watching.

Yes, it is very annoying, even if you are watching Netflix, Hulu or anything else, even an EAS test will take you to live TV.

Cox here lately has started running 2 to 4 EAS Tests most every single night/morning between 12am - 4am, one for every county that Cox serves in AZ.

At least Cox uses the type of Test that does not get recorded.
