Wonder what happens to American Ninja Warrior? (I almost wondered about GameTrailers.com, but confirmed that's on Spike, not G4!)

Yup. Far as I know, it is now first run NBC, second run G4.

I thought there were extra episodes on G4 that weren't on NBC. NBC was just showing some of them as first run.

Yeah, I should have made that clear. For the past week or two, they have ONLY been on NBC (rerun on G4).

But for most of the previous weeks, each week's "show" was really split across G4 & NBC. Basically, it was a 2 hour "episode", one half on G4 and one half on NBC. (I don't literally mean it's part of the same episode, of course each show had an opening and closing.. But each week, G4 + NBC combined were covering one competition -- trials in a certain city.)

I checked. I do get it. And in HD. For some reason, I thought it was on a extra pay tier along with stuff like Cooking Channel.

The station appears to run Sex and the City and America's Next Top Model.

I want AOTS back... or at least Candace Bailey...

Seriously, now the Destructoid show is gone too. Where are I supposed to get my gaming news?

I'm more of a Sara Underwood, err.., fan. Also, bring back Alison Haislip and Grace Hilbig, I really missed them.

According to this article from yesterday:

G4 is going to continue unchanged for the foreseeable future

Well, FWIW, G4 seems to be gone from Time Warner here as well. It's still listed on the guide, but tuning to the channels (SD and HD) report "Channel not provided by the tuning adapter."

I just flipped over there and G4 is still on U-Verse. It is currently airing a Heroes episode including a G4 bug in the bottom right of the screen. What was funny is that when I first flipped over there, it was on an Esquire Network commercial.

It kinda sucks. Suddenlink is keeping this channel on, I almost wish they'd drop it and add something else since G4 is in a higher channel tier. I'd rather have a new channel than the shell of this one. At least when it was changing to Esquire I'd get it in HD (Style is SD only for us).

What doesn't make sense is why NBCU isn't trying to do something with this channel. Why not do something similar to FXX and just show a bunch of the stuff they own. Parks and Rec, The Office, Community and then movies. Sort of a USA 2 or something. Instead they are letting it rot away and loosing that space in many cable systems.

Or, in the manner of FXX, how about "USAA"? Wait, that name is taken.

I know you were only using them as examples, but: "Parks and Rec" is on FXX and WGN America, and "The Office" is on TBS -- I can't see the business interests at NBC/Universal/Comcast wanting to dilute those brands by expanding them to another cable network (and the contracts they're under may preclude that anyway).

And NBC doesn't own "Community" -- it's owned by Sony (and it's rerunning on Comedy Central).

Fair enough, I just want another channel to watch all those shows on. :D Anyway I just don't get letting this channel go stagnant and basically encouraging cable companies to drop it.
