She didn't know where they were at. Made it seem like they said goodbye to the girl then went and put themselves in Amber.

I'm wondering what formula Walt used to judge the perfect amount of antimatter to implode that building without even rattling the windows of the surrounding skyscrapers. I guess the Observer couldn't time warp his ass of that situation.

I'm also thinking that maybe they didn't fly Nimoy back to Vancouver for a 10 second guest spot. Since he was frozen, they could have used a still from a former visit and digitized it on a Paintbox or other production tool

In fact, in the first profile shot of him, he looks like he's still sporting that headband he wore in "The Voyage Home."

    :)

I had thought that maybe Bell (or alt Bell) had somehow exiled Olivia to the Redverse and she could not return. But there may be another possibility.

We know that any female Observers as scarce to nonexistent. We see an Observer trying to take a woman from her pimp at the start of the episode. And the pimp objects because they have been taking so many women from him that he is running out.

What if these seized women are being sent to 2609? What if Bell figured out a way to prevent Olivia from dying that September overlooked? What if that was to turn Olivia over to the Observers to be shipped to 2026? This fits into Walter's disgust for what Belly did to Olivia.

This has the advantage that, if Olivia escapes or Etta/Peter rescue her, she can avoid being 20 years older. Also, Fringe can show us the year 2609 and blow our minds again. All this makes me crave season 5 even more.

Yes there are so many great possibilities which makes me all the more frustrated that they wasted this (possibly last) season on monster of the week combined with a dragged out arc.

You keep calling it a waste, and you're entitled to your opinion, but plenty of us disagree with you. Besides, the "waste" is what set up this episode to begin with, so you don't get one without the other.

On the contrary 2036 would have worked as the first episode of this season.

Who plays Henrietta? IMdB doesn't list her for the episode.

I agree with Walter, she is pretty.

I agree she is pretty, but she kind of had a smirk/smile a lot of the time she was on the screen, that felt out of place.

When I first saw her, I didn't think "Olivia". I thought "Gwyneth Paltrow". :)

But it was obvious from the start that she was going to be P&O's kid.

Because if the amber turns to liquid momentarily, wouldn't it fall along with Walter, causing him to be encased again (at least partially) when he hits the mattress?

I liked that in the "These aren't the droids you're looking for" scene, they flat out told us Walter was Etta's grandfather, yet we were supposed to assume they were making up a story for the security guy.

I don't understand why JOlivia or Simon couldn't push the person out without going completely inside the amber. Or use a long stick!

I object to calling Etta (Henrietta) Jolivia.. She's her own character and does not have any doppelgangers running around (yet if it does happen). I also think we should try to name these characters with something that at least sounds like their own name.

Jolivia is also a bad name because if she is born this or next season, and then has an alternate running around what name would you come up with then? AltJolivia sounds just stupid.

Etta works good for me, If we need change the name to Betta (Baby Etta), or Fetta (Future Etta), OtherEtta or AltEtta those names just sound better. I'm just thinking that if a time comes where we need another name for Etta we can pick something that rolls off the tongue better.

Right, but even in a gaseous state, amber is most likely heavier than air. Even if it doesn't fall as fast as a human would, it would fall away from whatever you have supporting it. Then you have to deal with a big chunk of amber landing on top of you after it resolidifies. :p
