So what is up with Yaz? 102 days of life expectancy. And where can I get one of those life reader thingamajiggers?

And what the hell is the definition of extant anyway?

The wire work in this ep really was too obvious.

    Not extinct.

I'm thinking that this show is going to be about an alien lifeform that is on the verge of extinction but that makes its way back to vitality by being bigger and stronger than Homo sapiens, taking over the planet.

Maybe so. But, I think that Hatake is also trying to prevent his own extinction with the Humanichs, or alien DNA, whichever comes first.

Looks like we now know more about that stuff he was decanted from when we first met his character - I'm guessing it's either a futuristic life-prolonging medical treatment, or some sort of stasis system so that his 120 days don't have to all be in a row.

I'd go with your second guess. Although like RGM1138 I remember it being 102 days.

If I can say this without sounding sarcastic, but it's funny you can remember the 102 days (which is correct, BTW), but you can't remember that it's THX1138! ;)

Actually, it would have been THX1138, but surprisingly, that user name was already taken in 1999.

Something that struck me as odd--when she was cooking breakfast she set the eggs on the counter on end, and they just sat there. What was that about? Also, does Cylon boy eat?

Cylon boy does eat. He was shown eating ice cream in the first episode and I'm pretty sure he was shown eating other things as well. As far as the eggs, I guess in the future they breed hens that lay eggs that can stand by themselves. No rolling off the table.

I noticed that too but then thought maybe she placed them in a clear plastic container.
