I liked it quite a bit.

It looks like it is really expensive to make though so I wonder how long it will last.

I liked it. Guess it's just 10 episodes.

Yeah, near as I can tell it's a mini-series. Which makes me even more interested, if they're actually going to tell a complete story with beginning, middle, end, as opposed to beginning, middle, hoping for season two.

I don't like JRM as Dracula at all (he's neither charismatic nor gorgeous) and find the story dull, but damn if the show isn't pretty- it's more like sumptuous. I don't know where it was shot but it was beautiful and I'll watch it just for that.

We watched it today. Thought it was pretty good actually. Didn't know it's a only 10 episodes. Not surprised, 'cause it looks pretty expensive to produce. I noticed Meyers is the Producer.

I think it's a nice 1-2 punch with Grim. As others have stated, I'm even more interested if it's a mini-series instead of a regular show. SP stays.

Was it just me, or did his American accent make him sound like Christian Slater?

That's funny. I read that in one of the critic's reviews before the show aired.

Kind of, all though at times, I thought that he was also doing a bad Robert Downey Jr./Tony Stark impersonation when he was acting as Grayson.
(And I suspect that the reason Grayson is said to be American is so that Meyers doesn't have to do a British or Romanian accent.)

It's not a horrible show and it does give me a Jessica De Gouw fix but I have to agree that based on what I've seen so far, Meyers was the wrong choice for Dracula.

To me, it sounded like that old-timey movie cadence from the early talkies through the 50s, before more naturalistic acting came into style. A little over-enunciated, slightly sped up, a little sing-song.

    Yep, it's the nasal whine.

I watched it. I liked it. I expect the story will pick up a bit, but it's only one episode and it's got me intrigued. How many shows can you say that about, especially this season? The production values are topnotch, which is extremely rare these days.

I noticed that the image quality seems much better than most network shows. It looks more like film than TV. If nothing else, it's great eye candy for showing off your HDTV.
