What I learned is don't trust her or her show to be funny.

The James Vanderbeek stuff was amusing, though.

I've only see one or two episodes of Louie, but I didn't think he played himself---he just played a guy named Louie who happened to be a comic. Does he really play the Louis C. K. who was a long-term writer on Late Night and who has been in movies and all that?

I mean, Seinfeld played a comic named Jerry Seinfeld, but he wasn't really playing himself.

Yes, he plays himself, they even had an episode where he and Dane Cook cleared the air over a feud they have had in real life for years.

    Surprisingly OK.....

This seems more like a lead-in for Revenge. Maybe ABC wants to bridge the two shows to solidify Revenge's ratings.

I was going to mention Garry Shandling.

Also... Lou Ferrigno in "King of Queens"... had a recurring role (probably around two dozen episodes) playing himself who was a next door neighbor.

    And what about Jerry Seinfeld?

But he sort of was. A fictionalized version of himself, but so is Van Der Beek.

Tori Spelling did a sitcom on VH-1 where she played herself. Not bad as VH-1 shows go. It was called So noTORIous (I had to IMDB the name). Only lasted one season.

Then there are of course all the people on Entourage for extended shots. Nobody in the regular cast was playing themselves, but Mandy Moore, Anna Farris, and Jamie-Lynn Sigler had extended multi-episode story arcs as themselves. Jamie-Lynn Sigler's lasted an entire season.

I finally watched the pilot today. I really liked it. Loved how blonde girl got her. At first I thought it was going to be all one-sided. Think I have a girl-crush on blonde girl - she is stunning!

I like K Ritter. I really enjoyed that one-season show she was in last year with all the suicide people. Forgot the name. I think it was on Starz. Guess nobody else watched as it died after one season.

    Keeping season pass.

Thanks, Amnesia! Too bad that show didn't go beyond the one season...or maybe everybody else was glad. I enjoyed it a lot.

Finally broke down and watched the first 2 episodes online. Seems decent. Now to see if my wife likes it.

Defying Gravity, a show that had so much promise and never got to tell us where it was going, as they didn't even air the episodes that had been shot already!

And there are online interviews with the creator that you can track down that at least tell you where they were going (of course they should be read after you've seen all the episodes)

I was surprisingly impressed after watching it.
