OK, I don't use a Mac, so I didn't know. I just assumed that's what that was.
Just as Dexter is a fictional character, the Document Shredder app he used to delete those files was also a fictional app fabricated for the show. I searched (Googled) for the app for my Mac, as many others had also done as well, only to learn that it does not actually exist.
But, apparently, there ARE apps for the Mac that do exist and accomplish what he was trying to do....
Are there any year references in Dexter? His airport murder and carry out the body certainly seems per 9-11. The cell phones with their huge texts are always amusing.
Anyway, maybe the cloud isn't in their universe. While a writer should certainly have made backups (and who's to say these won't appear at some point), pre cloud there were many people taking a big gamble on a single disk.
But heck, with as much as he'd written you'd think there'd be an editor already involved. And then there was his own forensics guy.
So, lots of problems with the plot to not worry about a shredding app. But I'm still loving the season.
That's a very rude comment especially when I threw out valid theories like anyone else and after tonight's ep stand by every word I said no matter what context you want to take it in. Pretty much what I said happened and if it makes you feel any better I'll say
she was "next" to the table. Back to exactly what I said before he put in to action the things that happened for her to die.
Since this is an older thread, you should spoilerize more of your post -- at least the sentence prior to where you started your spoiler. For me, I saw last night's episode, but if someone was reading this thread that hadn't seen it yet, they would be spoiled.
