Freedom! You should watch it anyway. Everyone's standards for what they watch in the summer becomes different than fall, with its 35 new SPs crowding the eyeball schedule.

We've been picking apart Under The Dome just as feverishly, yet it's still fun to watch. I just found this one to hard to stomach.

    YMMV.

yes, i agree, there's slim pickins' out there for the summer, but a few gems in the rough.

me, too, so i'll probably stick with this one at least a few more eps.

Just watched the latest episode. I now have concerns that I will always get aroused when I see a zebra.

Wait, so was this really filmed in Europe?

This is another "produced outside the U.S. and a U.S. network is just showing it during the summer" show, right? (BTW, I think that's a GOOD thing. If the networks did more things like this, we'd have new programming all year long.)

I know one can check imdb (and I did, and even used explore the show on Tivo a few times), but does anybody recognize any of the people besides the main guy & Donald Sutherland? They seemed like nobodies, but a couple of them were very attractive nobodies!

What did the woman stick in the USB port on the 2nd ep? I've got about 10 minutes left, but I swear they didn't use that plot point again..

That's because those 'nobodies' are all European too. What I've read is that it's entirely shot in Europe and that the whole crew besides those two actors are European...

Love the locales and actors the smoking hot Italian cop, but the plots suck. A dozen serial killer truckers staging Fight Club and nobody picks up on this over the years? Shades of The Following style idiocy.

    Just a FYI,

The first 4 episodes of season 2 are available via magical means.

If it was on a cell phone, 911 would work. For the GSM standard, the number is really irrelevant. The cell phone has a list of internationally known emergency numbers, and the SIM has a list of local emergency numbers. If you dial one of those numbers, the phone asks the tower "connect me to emergency services", not "connect me to 911".

That way someone from out of country with a different system can just reflexively dial their own emergency number when they travel to a different country with their phone.

911, 112, 999 will all work here in the US, too on GSM phones. I don't know about Verizon, though. I haven't read up on that one.

    Edit: argh, necropost for Malcontent

Did NBC ever _say_ they'd air this (and then decide not to)? or maybe it'll come back?

I thought this show had been cancelled. I "sort of" liked it ... better than nothing.

Now, all the second season shows seem to be available by magical means.

Didn't I read somewhere that foreign (Canada, Europe) film their shows all at once and then just release them one episode at a time. I'm wondering if the second season had already been filmed so they just decided to put it out there.

I had thought that Netflix was going to stream season 2; they currently have season 1 available and earlier this year they had said they would show season 2 as well.

I see that Amazon Prime UK supposedly started streaming it on Aug 15, which is probably the source of the magical versions.

It's not available on either Netflix or Amazon Prime in the US at the moment and I can't find any recent news about season 2 availability in the US.

I can't remember if I liked this, or even if I finished watching the first season...

I saw that. It seems that Netflix hasn't said whether they will or won't air Season 2 in the US. That's frustrating, for sure, but at least they haven't said no.

Nor me. Had to scan the thread to even remember which show this was. Then I remembered...

... this was a show I had to bleach my eyeballs after I watched it.

I guess I just like some cop shows more than others.. and the European-ness just made it "different"... wasn't great, but better than a lot of stuff that airs.

I agree. Loved the settings very different from US cop shows and the eye candy isn't bad either.
Plots were a bit silly though. Like the Fichtner character and his back story.

There are very few TV shows that I watch and I find it interesting that the posters here who do watch lots of shows dismiss this one.

    Bump....

    FYI,

The first 2 episodes of season 3 are available via magical means.

It doesn't look like NBC will be airing season 3. NBC passed on season 2 but luckily Netflix made it available for streaming. Hopefully Netflix will eventually pick up season 3.

Looks like there was a change in cast.

Crossing Lines‘ new leads have a rather impressive TV-drama pedigree: Lost‘s Elizabeth Mitchell and ER‘s Goran Visnjic will take over as series leads in the crime drama’s Season 3, our sister site Deadline reports.

That's a HUGE change. (I never saw S2, and don't know if it was essentially a continuation cast wise as s1.)

I should cancel a lot more SPs sooner this year, and catch up on old programs.. (but of course I probably won't)
