I think they got all the nuances of L&O right.

Loved when Britta offered her "expertise" and they cut her off!

A little jarring to have Star Burns die.

Was that a The Wire reference within a L&O parody?

    They did a great job.

Abed & Troy were even dressed like Lenny Briscoe and Ed Green.

Here's a good article about the episode:

My only disappointment is Britta was underused. It would've been better if she did a psych interview with the defendant, ala Olivet.

This was so awesome in so many ways. Maybe my favorite of the subtle ways was how increasingly (and ridiculously) short the scenes got there for a while during the "investigation", which I've always laughed at when watching L&O (which, granted, hasn't been for years).

There were so many great scenes in this. I loved the scene where the "cops" are turning the case over to the "lawyers" and they meet at the hot dog cart. Winger tells the vendor to keep the change, then says, "You know what, you can keep the hot dog, too."

Loved that Donald Glover was wearing a Spider Man tie, which is a callback to the campaign to have him star in the upcoming Spider Man movie.

EW.com has a post up today talking about Star-Burns's death. Not many people know this, I think, but the "actor" who played him isn't an actor at all -- he's a contributing writer on the show. And he asked them to write Star-Burns out so he wouldn't have to act anymore.

(There are a few general spoilers in the post about stuff coming up on the show the rest of the season.)

I liked how they used the aquarium as the "one way" glass for the interrogation room.

    Favorite lines:

Jeff: "If it's any consolation, she got me here on a VERY misleading text message."
Annie: "Jeff, technically you are about to be screwed in the Biology room because our final project has been destroyed."

    Kane: I object!
    Annie: I'll allow it.
    Jeff: Sustained.

Troy: That doesn't make sense! You can't order ketchup, it's a condiment!

Opening tag: Greendale Community College is represented by two separate yet equally important types of people: The goofballs that run around stirring up trouble and the eggheads that make a big deal out of it. These are their stories. BONG BONG.

Prof. Kane: I know you did the work. I'll give you a passing grade.
Annie: You mean a C?!?! I might as well get pregnant on a bus bench!

Troy: How did we get the short straw?
Abed: It's not a short straw. It's a hot potato.
Troy: Yeah, well, it looks pretty cold to me.
    Abed: Cold or dead?.
    Troy: Survey says...
Abed: We can't both do the zinger.

Troy: You have the right to do whatever you want. Nothing you say or do can be used against you by anyone, but we’d really like it if you’d come with us.

Annie: Is that why you hit your wife? Withdrawn! Is that why you smoke pot and pop pills? Withdrawn! Are you a virgin? Withdrawn!
