    Sherman...
Someone started a Twitter parody account for the new showrunners under the name @guarascioport. My favorite tweets so far:

"Never woulda taken this job if I realized it's year 4 of a show about comm. college (which lasts 2 years). We'll look like IDIOTS this fall!"

"The new Friday timeslot was our idea. Thursday night is a notoriously-tough time to get people to watch TV, always has been."

"Tons of fun planned for audience members at live Community tapings this fall. Cast meet-and-greets! Three-legged races! Macarena contest!"

"We are writing the first episode. What's the character Jeff's last name? Have they ever said it on the show?"

Interesting. Do you think they were choosing between Dan and Chevy and they chose Chevy???

Kind of hard to believe he was fired for being overbudget and late all the time now...

Clearly he got fired for fighting with Chase.

I am excited, as last season was like a zombie community. it looked like community, but did not act like it.

Not according to most everybody, actually. For example, Sepinwall's blog post today again says that was not the case.

It would be a weird reason to not renew his deal, anyway, since I can't believe the studio particularly wanted to be in business with Chase by that point, either.

All things considered, I would rather have Harmon back and Chase gone anyway, so whatever the history, it worked out for the best.

Well I choose to disagree. The other reasons he got fired still exist. Given all the other circumstances they show should just be canceled. It is not like they are sitting on a syndication gold mine. If their other reasons were the primary reason for the change and their goal was syndication firing Harmon was dumb.

The people involved can claim whatever they want. They can deny chase had anything to do with it (but Harmon is not coming back with chase there).

Sorry but actions speak much louder than words. If they just wanted to reach syndication they would have breached the gap with someone else. I know McHale (thanks Joel as a fan I appreciate the cast stepping up) went to bat for Harmon but that does not change the alleged reasons why Harmon was fired.

Allegedly Harmon, as the Creator and Showrunner, was regularly late and over budget. He was overspending SO MUCH, that he got fired for it. Creator/Showrunners do get fired. Bellasarius got run of NCIS because Mark Harmon got fed up with scheduling and demanded a change. I am not aware of many circumstances where a creator/Showrunner has been fired for cost overruns. Since it seems to be a very rare occurrence his mismanagement must have been seriously egregious. Yet one year later he is back, no problems at all. Makes no sense. Canceling the show would make more sense than that.

Doesn't matter I will exist in my own little bubble where I know Chevy chase did have in impact on what happened last year and this year and just be glad Harmon is back.

Seppinwall even says this is pretty much unprecedented to bring someone back and it is. Someone overreacted when the Harmon and chase stuff happened. They mixed that in with Harmon being a pain in their backside and fired him. For anyone to claim it could have nothing to do with the decision , in light of the reversal , are being disingenuous at best.

Think about it this way: Harmon was fired before it was renewed for S4 and that was likely done as a way to entice NBC to bring it back. Now that NBC has already renewed it for S5, bringing Harmon back won't have any negative effects on that deal.

Also, I think the year off will have had some humbling effect on Harmon and hopefully he'll be a little more willing to work within a schedule and budget now.

I listen to Harmontown regularly. I love listening to Dan Harmon, and the format of him just rattling on for 1-2 hours works great for him.

That said, I can completely believe that he was often late. I'm shocked that he ever got any writing done--he's a habitual procrastinator, and I'm certain he's probably a total d@#$ when dealing with a team in a structured environment.

I thought this season started to get pretty fun/entertaining towards the end. It kind of feels like NBC is Jay Leno-ing the new guys.

I imagine they will come up with one single funny line as to his whereabouts and then never mention him again.

He graduated at the end of S4, as did Jeff. So Jeff will just voluntarily continue hanging around with the study group, even though he doesn't go to Greendale anymore, but Pierce will simply be gone.

It wouldn't surprise me if Pierce was hit by a bus in the first episode though.

I'm betting (pure speculation) that Jeff comes back as a professor, and decides not to practice law.

Dan Harmon Talks Community Return, Watching Season 4 for the First Time: "I'm Not Going to Be a Jerk": http://www.eonline.com/news/427503/...for-the-first-time-i-m-not-going-to-be-a-jerk

Harmon has not watched any of Season 4, but he doesn't anticipate doing anything in Season 5 that would invalidate what happened in Season 4.
