Just a thought, but Comcast must compress the hell out of their HD signals. I have a 2.0TB Premiere that wasn't even supersized the way it should have been and with 126HD shows (lots of them hour long shows) it's ONLY 20% full. I could probably easily fill this 400 hours with just 2.0TB. I'm starting to think that this 2.0TB drive was overkill and maybe just 1.0TB i enough.

I have found wide differences in file sizes for HD shows recorded from the OTA antenna. So, it may not be your cable company but the broadcaster.

Keep in mind different resolutions also are inherently different - 720p, 1080i, and such.

I've found that even in the 2XX and 8XX Channels the same show uses less hard drive space. I'll ahe to run a test using the Elite to be sure.

But again different channels have different transmission rates (720p versus 1080i)
