    if the comcast-twc merger is approved, i wonder if we'll hear about this again? i suspect comcast is (smartly) attempting to appear "competitor friendly" to the fcc during the twc merger request, and the cooperation will stop if the merger is approved.

    Depends on how these "agreements" are being handled. If they are contractual, then you should see something come out of it.

    Yeah, and Im wondering if without cablecards and thier "minimal fee".... whether comcast is going to start charging alot more for active tivos on your account if this happens.

    Either that, or it is a way to reduce the support cost of installing and supporting CableCards...
