AND... he doesn't say EX-GIRLFRIEND anymore, just girlfriend! What a shift in focus!
Mike made more than a few tactical blunders but it's not because he's an idiot this season, it's because he is off his rocker, and everyone around him keeps pointing that out. He's been telling us about how as a spy you have to have a way to compartmentalize the emotion, and this episode is what happens when you lose that.
On the other hand, Anson made a lot of mistakes too. I kept thinking of ways I could have made better use of the chemical plant than he did. Anson's playing cool but he's also on edge.
So while all this fits within the story and characters, and it's a sort of change of pace, I also hope we don't have to watch it that long. Let's see Anson down and Mike back on his game soon. If this is their idea for a whole season, boo. If it's just going to take a couple of episodes to transform from where last season ended to where this season begins, that's okay, I can live with that.
Even if they get rid of Anson another badass would just come along and grab hold of Micheal's leash.
BTW, has anyone seen this?
WARNING: Spoiler about something that happens later in the season.
Hot news for Burn Notice fans: Jeffrey Donovan, who plays the CIA operative Michael Westen, says one of the main characters dies in the shows sixth season premiering Thursday on the USA Network.
As for who is killed off Donovan isnt saying.
My guess is
it will be his mom...
Jesse, who I don't think really adds anything to the mix...and Mom really does. Jesse is by far the most disposable of the main cast...unless behind the scenes somebody wants to leave or is being pushed out.
After watching some other shows that I have become addicted so since this show last aired, it really does make all BN's flaws glaring. I still like it, for the same reasons mentioned here, I care about the characters. But yeah, this is not must see TV. I won't drop it like I did 2 of my other USA shows but I don't really look forward to it anymore. (although any scene that has Jeffrey Donovan rockin that teary eyed look, always gets me)
Jere Burns is staying seriously busy lately. Between his new FT gig here, his PT gig on Justified and his guest appearances on Breaking Bad, I feel like he's on every show I watch!
Jesse would be my second guess...
He's a very talented, multi-faceted actor...
I agree and I enjoy his Justified character best.
It could be that the scripts are getting too stupid for even Bruce. Maybe some smart guys have offered him another show.
Anson is a mere Psychologist who just happens to be an expert with tactics and explosives and always has some handy.
I've actually turned it around and am now starting to root for the bad guy to win. So now I feel good when he does.
Fi. Maybe Gabreille is sick of leaving her family and coming over from England. Although they would have to real quick put in another sexy old GF for Michael.
Well, her boyfriend owns a restaurant in Miami, and she's pretty important to the dynamic of the show.
I still say Jesse is the most disposable member of the cast. He adds nothing that Michael and Sam don't already bring.
Gave up on this show. The acting has gotten really bad. Fi in prison seems all wrong. If she is as bad as they say she is they wouldnt have her in with others.
I don't think it is Jessie since he just got added to the intro script, I'm gonna go with Nate, since they just brought him back from Vegas sans wide and kid, it will give Mike more angst in hiws life without changing the dynamic of the show.
They sure like to blow stuff up.
