Smallville spinoff (or is it a prequel? :p) chronicling the adventures of Oliver Queen.

I'll at least check it out, but I don't think it will be the same without Justin Hartley in the lead role.

It's completely unrelated to the Green Arrow/Oliver Queen that was in Smallville, so don't expect any tie-ins at all.

I'll give it a shot, but I don't have incredibly high expectations.

It's a remake of the character, not a spinoff or a sequel to Smallville. I'll watch because I always thought the Justin Hartley version had potential for his own show but was weighted down by too much Smallville baggage... this is a chance to do it right.

I was going to say "No" but the girl in the yellow sweater at the 9 second mark convinced me to give it a shot.

Anything super-hero, sci-fi, fantasy, I'll try. And give more of a chance than I would more conventional stuff.

Y'know, geek solidarity and all that.

Katie Cassidy. Ruby on Supernatural, Harper's Island, some movie stuff. I definitely approve.

The show looks decent, though I don't like dropping the 'Green'.

I'll give it a try. I never watched "Smallville" for some reason, but I'll try this (always liked Green Arrow)

I'm guessing that's to distance it from Green Lantern (which Greg Berlanti & Marc Guggenheim also worked on).

I'll watch but it sounds like they may be emphasizing the soap opera elements too much.
(Which was a big problem in Smallville.)

It might also be to distance it from green.

Which, let's face it, is a pretty limiting word when designing a character. And not in a good way. They went about as far away from "green" as they could in Smallville, and it wasn't far enough.

Nah, Green Arrow is only limiting when Ann Nocenti is writing it.
