all i could find - Jenny is the daughter of a man he put away. Seems like Luther and the mother had a thing too?

I knew new Luther was coming, but had no idea when. It's like waking up one morning to find out it is Christmas. ;)

I wonder why they (BBC) continues to delay the airing of new shows on BBC America? (Season 3 aired in July on BBC.)

No spoilers, other than we really liked it.

Because BBCA is a totally separate entity from the BBC. They have to buy the programming just like any other foreign channel (ok, maybe not JUST like).

The BBC can decide that it is commercially viable to release a show quickly (Doctor Who, Top Gear, etc.) to reduce piracy or, if it's not thought of as a huge draw, delay the release.

The gap between UK and US airdates is, without a doubt, reducing.

I was majorly ticked at a spoiler that BBCA has in their promos that would have upset me had I been waiting for it, as it is I watched elsewhere and the spoiled item actually had me cheering at the TV when it happened.

it's not clear Alice was in S4 from the earlier BBC promos I saw, and she wasn't in the credits, so when she showed up in E4 I was ecstatic, this is totally ruined by BBCA with her so prominent in the ads.

The first episode for series 3 was recorded last week on my TiVo. Now it says there are no new upcoming episodes! I double checked and it's true. BBCA doesn't have the 2nd episode on the schedule...In fact they have NO episodes of Luther upcoming although they are available 'ON DEMAND'. What gives??

It ran on consecutive nights. Not sure why your SP didn't catch them all...

This is one of the most powerful dramas I can recall. Elba is overwhelming. I just wish the series were more than four to six episodes.

The writers caught me totally off guard with Justin's death and I am completely satisfied with the Glaswegian's demise. Feelings about Erin could go either way.
    Hope there's a new series soon. ;)

    Oh and Alice rocks.

    Just finished S3 of Luther.

Good plot(s) again with Luther having to defend his integrity and the usual band of crazies he has to hunt down.

    Good to see Alice again...

Is S3 on Netflix yet? I watched the first two seasons there but then messed up on TiVo and only got two episodes of S3.

No, doesn't look like season 3 in on Netflix yet.

I did the Netflix streaming for the first 2 seasons as well. S3 will probably be added soon...

Finally got around to watching this.

Justin's death made no sense to me. Maybe British cops are different but I don't think any unarmed person would have continually confronted an armed murderer like that. At some point you have to take his advice and turn away. At first, I thought Marwood had been trapped in a corner when Justin approached him but after he killed Justin, Marwood just opened the gate and walked away. SO there really wasn't a reason to kill Ripley.

Idris Elba was great as usual.

Justin died because he was good in a bad world (and because Luther called him his mate ;)).

But in general I am not sure if it would be a good idea to believe the word of a maniac with a gun and at his instigation present your back. It would be different if the maniac only had a knife and was not within immediate striking range.

I'm watching the last two episodes of season 3 right now. I finished season 2 last week and the first half of season 3.

I give it three thumbs up.:up::up:
