The current line of Roamios do not have the AC band on their wireless chip, so there are unlikely to be any gains in that regard.

With that being said, I do have a Netgear R6300 router and have experienced excellent transfer speeds and stutter-free streams of recorded content to my iOS devices via Tivo Stream.

    Ditto on the R6300 experience.

My Roamio is hardwired to my Asus RT-AC66U, but the wireless to my iPad works great. Quality of the video is perfect. I hope once TiVo rolls out streaming outside the home the quality is on par with the Slingbox 500.

Also zero problems with an ASUS RT-N56U in AP mode and a Roamio Pro connected to a Dlink DAP1522 wireless Bridge. The experience, from a user perspective, is identical to using Ethernet and MoCA. I saw no issues when I tested it out recently.
