Let's discuss this horror show I can't stop watching...

Hooray another reality competition show rebooted to add social media (sarcasm)...
    Really? Voting on Facebook?

    Relegated to Friday night.... Hmmmm.

Gone are mr and ms J and longtime judge Nigel Barker

    - Kelly Cutrone is still there - which I think is good
    - a 22 year old British male model i never heard of is the new 3rd judge (uh and he's YOUNGER than most of these college theme contestants) and seems more interested in getting in the girls pants than anything else - seriously i can't even figure out what he is doing there

    - the new stylist photo manager kindof grew on me as the episode went on although the first time he spoke on screen i laughed out loud - i am gay and even i wondered if he could be more gay - his qualification apparently is that he dressed Katy Perry. Once.

13 of the 30 contestants were featured heavily before the final 13 were revealed so it was pretty much a no brainer who they were going to be...
    - apparently people on facebook have been voting BEFORE the episode aired and all this 4th you be the judge social media stuff - i guess you had to be a friend of one of the contestants to know about it...
thanks for letting us know how to vote!

Actually I think the thing that bothered me the most was the judging panel didn't have a desk to sit behind!

So either this will be hugely popular or this is the beginning of the end...

I've only watched re-runs on cable, so I'm a relative newbie to the show. But I hear you about the whole voting on Facebook thing. No, I don't want to share my reality show vices with everyone I know, thanks very much.

My husband (no, I don't know where he read it) says that Tyra was forced to boot Nigel and the others by "someone upstairs". So if that's the case it's not her fault for giving them the boot, although if someone came to me and said they were canning all my friends from the show, I might have told them to pound sand and walked off myself.

The format seemed to be fine as it was, with enough refresh by swapping in a single new judge every cycle, and guest judges, so why break it?

I understand the need to freshen things up, but sometimes the things that get changed out are what make the show satisfying, so producers need to be careful when they do this kind of tinkering.

(Disclaimer: this show is fun, but I liked Bravo's "Make me a Supermodel" better.)

Yeah, it looked like all of their big sponsors did-- all of the prizes were from a different company. Beauty spread in 'Nylon' magazine, and a prize from 'Smashbox' cosmetics, neither of which I've ever heard of. Of course, I'm probably a bit outside of their demographic. ;)

The other thing that bothered me about the show is how they stretched the definition of 'college'-- a few of the girls are going to beauty schools, and I guess ANTM considers that 'college.'

Yikes! How can this show even be the same show without the Cover Girl commercial?

Bear in mind that I've never managed to see any of the episodes where they reveal the lineup for the 'cycle' (which, IMHO, is a horrible designation -- it sounds like a girl on her period).

Given that disclaimer -- wow, how unsatisfying.
